Wait time is up. Megastar Chiranjeevi launched a teaser for Rana and Sai Pallavi starrer Virata Parvam. Through humor, Virata Parfam tells an epic wartime love story between a rebellious poet and a country girl who is an ardent fan of his poetry.
The love story is told in Sai Pallavi’s point of view and this explains why Rana would want to mention her name first. How long will we erase the signs of domination? How long does it take to break down the barriers of discrimination? He struck the depths of the peasants … the angel flourished, “Rana raises his voice through his poetry. He showed us his nickname and Sai Pallafi is a big fan of him and his writings.
“It is her love that raises the veil of hidden stories,” read the statement in a joke describing Sai Pallavi’s love for Rana. She left her family and entered the woods, in search of her love. Police brutality is shown in a scene in which policemen touch her inappropriately.
Rana is seen in an action packed role as comrade Ravana, Priyamani and Navin join the fight with him. While the love story is epic, the sequence of events is surprising in return. Sai Pallavi’s final sequence using the word nudge shows how rough the storytelling is.
Venu Udugula shines as a writer and director, whose dialogues make a powerful impact. Production design is impressive while camera work and music are other big assets. Suresh Bubili is Tollywood’s most underrated music director and his work is much appreciated.
On the whole, Virata Parvam’s advertisement places very high on the movie produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri and Suresh Babu. We need to wait until April 30th to witness the wartime love saga.
