When Adam wrote Nair: Automata Review, Hadn’t had much of an issue with the PC port. Unfortunately, others have not been so fortunate, and over the past several years designers have stepped in to fix various graphics, performance, and quality of life issues that Square Enix and Platinum Games have failed to address.
Now a new version of the game has been released on PC that fixes many of these issues while adding new graphical bells and whistles. Important: It’s only available via the Windows Store and Xbox Game Pass, and not via Steam.
Nier: Automata version added to Xbox Game Pass Just two days ago It is the version of Become As Gods, which was originally released for Xbox One in 2018. This version of the game was created by QLOC transmission professionals, and adds Infinite Mode, HDR, UI materials upgraded to 4K, support for Ultra HD. , And FidelityFX, AMD’s answer to Nvidia’s DLSS.
Also, in the process, it fixes several issues users encountered with the original PC port, including incomplete support for native full screen resolutions, choppy patches and more. (Not all issues have been fixed, think – the keyboard, mouse and re-copy options are still crap, it seems).
Some of the tweaks released to fix issues in the Steam version are already being updated to work on the Windows Store version, as they still provide more improvements, including Graphical fixes for the Special K mod. Players find out, too How to transfer the save from the Steam version to the Windows Store version.
Meanwhile, gamers on Steam aren’t feeling like they’ve got a better copy at another store. Over 300 negative reviews posted on Nier: Automata’s Steam store page for the past three days. I can understand their frustration, although I imagine launching Become As Gods on Steam isn’t an easy feat. I reached out to Square Enix for comment and will update this story if I hear again.
I don’t wish the Windows Store was my worst enemy, but the Xbox Game Pass is pretty decent. you can see Subscription service pricing plans here.
