Exclusive: A MMA spokesperson confirmed that the former fighter-turned-actress is no longer working with her agency UTA.
This comes on the heels Gina Carano Make controversial statements on social media.
Lucas Film A statement was released earlier this evening saying, “Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future. However, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are repugnant and unacceptable.”
I was told Carano was not related to continuing with Season 3 of The Mandalorian As bounty hunter Cara Dune, a role she played for two seasons in the hit Disney + series. Having said that, her story pauses as if we will see more of her. Not to mention, Disney + has plans for Mandurian Popup incl Rangers of the New Republic. I was told when the news was leaking out again in the fall about that latest series that A Deal was not out of place for Carano.
The actress, who has had a history of speaking publicly on social media, crossed the line with comments that compared the current divided political climate to Nazi Germany, saying, “Jews were beaten in the streets, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors” in the Tik Tok post. That has since been removed.
The hashtag #FireGinaCarano begins to emerge, with the hashtags on social media Mandurian Content creator Jon Favreau, Disney, Disney Plus, Star Wars, and Lucasfilm.
Carano and her supporters tried to get the hashtag #weloveginacarano in direction, but to little effect.
The Daily Beast I learned exclusively that Carano was dropped by her propaganda agents at ID last fall due to her right-wing social media activism that included statements about wearing a face mask and falsifying voters. She was with a PR firm for a while.
