Now Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has shut down the reports during an interview with This Released on Wednesday.

He told the newspaper, “I rarely answer in the negative to anything because things always surprise me with what happens, but this rumor, I think, quickly dispelled by the man himself.”

Fans clearly shouldn’t expect to see Evans when The Falcon and Winter Soldier premieres on Disney + Friday.

This news comes on the same day that Marvel Comics announced its first gay Captain America on Tuesday. He will make his US debut from Captain America No. 1 during Pride Month in June.

The new character is named after Aaron Fischer and represents the first LGBTQ person to capture the hero’s shield in the 80-year history of comics.

The historic move comes as the comics giant is expanding the list of increasingly diverse characters.

The Limited Series will follow the original Captain America, Steve Rogers, as he searches for his lost armor. Along the way, he encounters those who have been inspired by the Captain America icon to help their communities.

Writer Josiah Trujillo, known as “ Captain America of Railways, ” described the character in a statement: “ Aaron is inspired by the heroes of the gay community: activists, leaders and people every day push for a better life.

It represents the oppressed and the forgotten. I hope his first story resonates with readers and helps inspire the next generation of heroes.
