Anna admitted that it was her “curiosity” and “ambition” that made her leave Cuba for her acting career.
She shared to The Times: “ I just felt like I always wanted more in everything in my life. I was very ambitious and inquisitive and wanted to do more. In Cuba you live in a bubble. I didn’t know what the world was like.
I have never traveled before in my life … I think – and I mean that in the best possible way – ignorance of some things can help, because you are not afraid. I went and did it. If I had to do it now, knowing what it was and what I had to suffer, I would be afraid. But I’m glad I did. I didn’t think about it twice.
